Lachlan is 3 Weeks Old!

I know is am really bad at updating this but hey, I am a busy momma!

A whole lot has happened since my last posting. Obviously, Lachlan is here and is doing great.
His journey into this world was a little dramatic but he is a Leo. The picture to the left is me at the hospital the day we were admitted. Lachlan had turned into the breech position for the second time and the doctors peformed and external version to move him head down. Although they were successful, our little guy was determined to stay in my belly as long as he could.

Despite his efforts to remain a fetus, he was born at 1:14am on August 5th via c-section. He was 7 lbs 20inches.

Here is Lachlan with mom and dad in the recovery room.

Little Lachlan

Here is our baby boy! I know he looks like an alien in this video but he's only half baked! We found out he was boy at our 18 week appointment. I have to say my intuition was right for once! We are both so happy that he is healthy and strong. Keith's dad is glad that we have someone to carry on the Bailey name.

We have decided to name him Lachlan (pronounced Lock-lun). It is a Scottish name that in Gaelic means "Man from Norway." Since I have a lot of Scottish in me and Keith has Norwegian in him we felt it was a perfect for our little man.

Like I said in my blog below, I am way behind with updates! I am now almost 23 weeks along and Lachlan is quite the kicker! He is moving around all the time now. Keith, Tanya and Angela have all felt him at this point.

Cruise Blog

I haven't updated this in a while! Things around here have been crazy but I will give a few highlights of the past of couple months.

Keith and I went on a Mexican riviera cruise thanks to my mom and dad. We had a great time. It was whale breeding season off the coast of Cabo so we were able to whale watch from our room. We really enjoyed Puerto Vallarta and I hope we can go back in the future with the little one. I can't say my feet enjoy the trip as I developed "cankles"(that when your ankles get giant so that they become part of the calf of the leg).

Anyway, it was a great trip and will probably the last one we can take for a long while!

Oh waiting...

Yesterday, baby turned 14 weeks old in my belly. We have a routine appointment tomorrow which we are looking forward to. I have never looked forward to the doctors office until now. Each time we go, we feel closer to baby.
I am really looking forward to my next appointment on March 9th, where we may be able to find out whether we are having a boy or a girl! I can't wait. I think about it throughout everyday. Keith is more relaxed about everything. He wants to be surprised but I told him I thought he would find out even if I kept the secret.
It seems like I am in a constant state of waiting. I wait for every Sunday so I can read about what's going on with baby this week. I wait for every appointment to see baby moving around or to hear the strong little heartbeat. The biggest wait of all is for us to be parents!
